What a busy nurse should do to keep up with innovations?

Welcome to my blog post. In this post, I explore some methods for busy nurses, who are mothers, fathers, students, and full-time workers to keep up with the demands of innovations.

"Nursing is a very demanding job. Nurses have to be up-to-date with the current legislation, training, and changes in their organization, whithout counting that many have family affairs and school for further developement"

There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Nurses can use their travel time to maximize training and studies and keep up to date.

How do I get the best training while driving?

I am not advocating for the extermination of good music in your car, but instead having the music in the background, while in the foreground, with an earpiece perhaps, you listen to some audiobook, podcast, or even a youtube filmed conference (use caution while listening to youtube).

Lately, I was able to finish 59 books, all listening through AudioBooks.com. But if prefer free service, there are some websites that offer such service, like audiovox.org. Audiovox has a large collection of contemporary and classic books.

The best feature I like when listening to a book or a conference is the ability to speed up the conversation. Usually, I can take well a 2.0x the normal speed.

For the untrained mind, you should start with the simple 1.0x or even slow down if you need to really understand the talk.

Again, not advocating speed listening to any audio book, but sometimes I feel the reader slows down the conversation so the book seems longer.

When I finish a book or training I immediately take the test or write a recommendation for the book.

I was able to make heads-up in my studies by listening to youtube videos, while on the train or car, and if I can, you can too.

I hope you have found it informative and let us start a conversation, what is your take on audiobooks?
